A Fairer Victoria 2008, launched by the Premier on 8 May, continues the commitment to strong people and strong communities, investing over $1 billion across a range of initiatives.

A Fairer Victoria is a whole of Government social policy action plan to address disadvantage and promote inclusion and participation. This year A Fairer Victoria targets four priority areas: support for children in their early years and for families most at risk; development of education and vocation; reducing health inequalities; promoting wellbeing; and strengthening neighbourhoods and local communities.
