Description

Reconciliation provides a strong foundation for a unified society. This paper calls on the next federal government to continue to take steps to ensure the full and equitable participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the economic, social and cultural life of Australia.

The paper identifies six foundational action areas, linked to priority reforms under the National Agreement on Closing the Gap, that the federal government must take into the next term to set a course towards a reconciled nation that benefits all Australians.

It calls on the next federal government, working across the parliament, to place the key tenets of reconciliation at the heart of its work and show determined leadership in Australia’s reconciliation journey.

  1. Don't walk away from our history
  2. Improved health outcomes
  3. Support for anti-racism action
  4. Invest in future generations
