This report provides an overview of the economic evidence available in relation to psychosocial support programs within Australia’s mental health system. The report concludes there is promising but limited evidence to demonstrate that psychosocial supports not only improve the wellbeing and quality of life for individuals but also lead to economic gains.

The report is a response to the Australian Government’s Migration Strategy. The report analyses the employer sponsored temporary Skills in Demand (SID) visa program across three streams from December 2024 to 30 September 2025. The early analysis suggests that the SID program is broadly meeting the Migration Strategy objectives, but data is still limited.

This guide is the 2026 update to the Magenta Book, the United Kingdom Government’s central guidance on evaluation. It provides guidance on scoping, design, conduct, use and dissemination as well as the capabilities required of government evaluators. The revised guide introduces several new and significantly expanded areas of focus to support high-quality evaluation across government.
