Description

The Department of Social Services has designed, developed and implemented the Disability Gateway, to meet the federal government’s 2019 election campaign commitment to ‘provide $45 million over three years to establish a national disability information gateway’.

The Disability Gateway consists of a contact centre (which the Benevolent Society has been contracted to deliver) and a website, which collates existing information about supports for people with disability. Both components were released in January 2021.

This report outlines the findings from an independent evaluation of the initial 12 months of the Disability Gateway service.
