This Select Committee report examines the objectives, design, implementation and evaluation of the Australian government’s Northern Australia agenda.

This interim report includes an update on the Committee’s activities to date, and emerging themes identified through recent reports into Australia’s mental health system and engagement with the Productivity Commission, National Mental Health Commission and Department of Health.

This report outlines a series of recommendations which seek to inform the development of the next national plan to reduce violence against women and their children, which is due to commence in mid-2022.

This report and its recommendations reflect the committee’s belief that Australia’s defence relationships in the Pacific are extremely important and becoming increasingly so, and that additional efforts can and should be made to ensure the security of our region in the years to come.

This inquiry report argues that Australia's timber industry is ripe for innovation and growth. With the appropriate policy settings, the Committee feels that the plantation industry may once again have the potential to expand.
