This draft plan outlines the New Zealand Government’s vision and priorities for rail. The long-term vision is for New Zealand’s national rail network to provide modern transit systems in the largest cities, and to enable increasing volumes of freight to be moved off the roads and onto rail.

Algorithm charter
The Minister of Statistics has launched a draft Algorithm charter that commits government agencies to improving transparency and accountability in their use of algorithms over the next five years. This is a response to the recommendations from the Algorithm assessment report in 2018.
