Evidence highlighted that Australia’s youth justice system is in crisis and vulnerable children and young people are being held in detention without adequate and appropriate supports. The report makes two recommendations.

Sexual extortion is a form of blackmail in which a perpetrator threatens to release intimate material of a victim unless they comply with certain demands. This paper examines the prevalence and nature of sexual extortion among adolescents and finds more than one in 10 had experienced sexual extortion in their lifetime.

This report reviews the first four years of Victoria's Voluntary Assisted Dying Act 2017, finding it is generally operating safely and as intended. The report also identifies areas for improvement, including enhancing community awareness, supporting the workforce and ensuring equitable access, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and multicultural communities.
