As climate risks intensify, there is a growing need to understand how extreme weather events are affecting frontline workers. This report outlines survey findings of Australian frontline staff, conducted between January and February 2026. It finds that the vast majority of frontline staff across care and community services are being impacted by extreme weather events.

As Australian households and businesses search for cheaper, cleaner and more efficient fuels, they are using less gas. Governments have largely ignored this decline. This report calls on the federal and state governments to take more control of declining gas production and use, to achieve climate targets and protect users from high prices.

This brief recommends a phase-out of the Supported Wage System and productivity-based wage calculations by 2034 to lift minimum wages for employees with disability to 100% of the national minimum wage.

The report analyses the employer sponsored temporary Skills in Demand (SID) visa program across three streams from December 2024 to 30 September 2025. The early analysis suggests that the SID program is broadly meeting the Migration Strategy objectives, but data is still limited.
